Become part of the NATSIHEC Mentoring Network

NATSIHEC is committed to ensuring that all of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people working in Higher Education are self-determined, culturally safe and supported in their career journey.

Our mentorship network works within all stages of your career journey in the higher education sector, whether you are just starting out, looking to capacity built to your next career milestone or you are an established leader. The flexibility of the network allows you to choose to become a mentor, a mentee or both!

The network supports established and emerging leaders to help build their confidence, self-awareness, professional skills, network and develop a greater understanding of their unique way of doing and ability motivate others. Led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people ensures that the Network is a culturally safe inclusive environment aimed to empower, self-determine and capacity build through an Indigenous lens. Through a structured one-to-one relationship members receive guidance and support in the early, mid and senior stages of career planning and future goal setting.

The NATSIHEC Mentoring Network is comprised of:

  • One-on-one mentoring
  • Regular online network ‘coffee’ catch ups
  • Knowledge Sharing – Short Talks on a range of capacity building topics
  • Resource Centre
